Parklets

We are launching our new Parklet range at Futurescape this October!

So what is a parklet?
Parklets are a creative urban solution that transform small areas of land, often the size of one or two car parking spaces, into multifunctional community spaces.
These micro-parks are designed to serve various purposes and provide numerous benefits to the community, such as additional amenities and greenery to urban environments
while utilizing existing infrastructure. Parklets vary in design and features, ranging from simple grass-covered areas to more elaborate  structures with seating, tables, planters,  greenery, bike parking, lighting, and other elements tailored to suit the specific needs  and character of the location.
Parklets are usually located adjacent to pavements, effectively extending the social life and pedestrian experience of the surrounding area.
They serve as flexible and adaptable spaces that contribute to the vibrancy of urban  neighbourhoods.
We design our parklets to easily fit onto pallets with easy installation in mind.

Overall, parklets are versatile and adaptable spaces that can fulfill multiple functions simultaneously, enriching urban environments and promoting community well-being. They are often considered temporary measures because they can be easily moved or relocated as needed. This flexibility allows them to be installed in various locations and adjusted according to changing needs or circumstances. Parklets typically feature a raised platform area that is carefully constructed to account for the camber of the road so it is level with the curb to avoid creating a trip hazard, sometimes ramps are also fitted. This attention to detail in design ensures that parklets are safe and accessible for pedestrians and users, while also seamlessly integrating with the surrounding urban environment.
